Family Bridge allows a qualifying student and one of their family members to connect their eligible East West Bank accounts together. Once the family member’s account is connected with the qualifying Global Student account, they’ll receive exclusive Family Bridge Benefits.

A Family Bridge connection is for benefit-sharing purposes only, and does not grant access to the other party's account information.

A student must have an East West Bank Global Student account and meet the Student Benefit Fee Waivers Qualification Requirements to qualify for Family Bridge. Please check the Global Student terms and conditions for details.

A family member must have an East West Bank Global Checking or Premier e-Checking account to qualify for the Family Bridge program.

Family Bridge Benefits are received on the connected family member’s account only, there isn’t any additional benefits to the student.

Family member will receive the following exclusive Family Bridge Benefits on the connected account:
1) Waiver of the Bank’s fee on one Incoming Wire each monthly statement cycle
2) Earn a $20 Fee Credit that can be redeemed on a Qualified Service Fee

3) Waiver of the withdrawal fee when they use another bank's ATM
4) Waiver of the monthly account maintenance fee on their Global Checking or Premier e-Checking account
5) They'll also be assigned a relationship banker to provide full-service support

If you have a qualified account, you will see a [Family Bridge] entry point under the [Manage Account] page in the Mobile App, which lets you view your Family Bridge connection status.

If your Global Student account is not currently connected, you’ll be able to send out a Family Bridge invitation to an eligible family member. Your family member will then have 60 days to accept your invitation before it expires.

Once the accounts are disconnected, the Family Member’s Family Bridge Benefits will end on the 3rd of the next month, and standard Global Checking or Premier e-Checking fees and charges will resume.

The Family Bridge connection will be automatically disconnected if one of the following occurs: 
1) When one of the connected parties (Student or Family Member) initiates a disconnection request from the Mobile App,
2) When one of the connected accounts is closed, or
3) When the connected Global Student account reaches “graduation” status 7 years after account opening.

Once the accounts are disconnected, the Family Member’s Family Bridge Benefits will end on the 3rd of the next month, and standard Global Checking or Premier e-Checking fees and charges will resume.

The Family Bridge Program limits you to a maximum of 2 invitation attempts. By initiating and then canceling this invitation, or establishing a connection and then disconnecting it, you will have used 1 of your invitation attempts.
