Bill Pay allows you to pay bills from your qualifying East West Bank checking or savings account to payees located in the U.S. You can also use the service to review your bill payment history, and pending bill payments.

The Bill Pay service supports payments made to U.S. based companies and individuals.

You’ll have two options for adding a payee:

  • Search for payee: If the payee is part of our Bill Pay payee network, you’ll be able to add the payee by searching for their name.  These payees are mostly medium to large-sized organizations from both public and private sectors based in the U.S.  Once located, you can manually add the additional details from your billing statement.
  • Add a payee manually: If the payee is not part of our payee network, you’ll be able to add them manually by entering their name, U.S. phone number, U.S. address and other details from your billing statement.

Any payment made after the Bill Pay business day cutoff time will be processed the next business day. The Bill Pay cutoff time is 7:00PM Pacific Time, Monday – Friday (excluding U.S. Federal Holidays).

The timing for the payment to be debited from your account will vary based on delivery method, which is determined by the Bill Payment service and may include an electronic payment or a paper check drawn against your account.

If your payment was processed electronically, you can expect that your East West Bank account will be debited on the Pay On date you selected. If your payment was processed by check, your East West Bank account will be debited when the check is presented to us for payment.

We do not charge a fee for using the Bill Pay service.

You may incur a Non-Sufficient Funds fee if your bill payment overdraws the available balance in your East West Bank account, or incur fees or penalties if we or our service provider are required to initiate a collection action. You can refer to the East West Bank Fee Schedule and Online Banking Agreement for additional information.

Additionally, your third party payee may assess their own fess or charges. You should contact them directly for details
