The East West Bank Foundation recently partnered with First Tee Los Angeles, a youth development organization that empower kids, to hold the Golf Futures Clinic and minicamp at Chester Washington Golf Course.
With the help of EWB volunteers, First Tee coaches and professional golfers, over 30 students from local Title 1 schools engaged in a panel discussion to learn about financial literacy, career paths in golf, and how to build strength and character through the game of golf. Aaron Grimes, and Ben Lein from The Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) and Alexa Melton from The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) worked with participants in 4 different stations to practice driving, chipping, and putting. This collaboration aims to empower youth with confidence, connections, and valuable life lessons, setting them on a path to success both on and off the golf course.
