You may fund your account using one of the following methods:

a. U.S. bank or financial institution

If you’re sending funds from another U.S. bank or financial institution, you’ll need the following:

Your East West Bank account information

Beneficiary Name

Your First Name, Last Name

Account Type

Checking

Account No.

Your East West Bank checking account number

To find your account number on the Mobile App, tap your account on the Dashboard. On the Transaction History page, tap Account Details to view your account number.

To find your account number in Online Banking, select the eye icon next to the last four digits of your account to view your account number.

ACH Transfer (funds should arrive within 3-5 business days)

  1. Go to your U.S. bank, brokerage or financial institution and add your East West Bank account as an ACH recipient 
  2. You will need to provide your Account Number and ABA/Routing details
  3. Initiate the ACH funds transfer. It typically takes 3 to 5 business days to complete the transfer 

 

Wire Transfer (funds should arrive within 1-3 business days)

  1. Contact the U.S. bank, brokerage, or financial institution you wish to transfer funds from and request to initiate a wire transfer to your East West Bank account

Note: Depending on the financial institution, you may be able to start the process online. You may also be required to complete a wire transfer form.

 

b. Overseas (non-U.S.) Bank or Financial Institution

If you’re sending funds from a non-U.S. bank or financial institution, you’ll need the following:

Beneficiary Name

Your First Name, Last Name

Account Type

Checking

c. Additional Funding Methods

  1. For instructions on using other funding methods, including using PayPal or Venmo, tap Transfer & Pay > Add funds.

The following bank fees will apply for transferring funds to your account:

Yes, you can fund in any currency and we will automatically convert the funds to USD before crediting your account. Foreign exchange conversion rates will be based on the Bank’s exchange rate in effect at that time.

Note: For HKD, you will need to include intermediary bank information when sending the funds to your East West Bank account. For more information and to view the account details you will need to make this transfer, go to Transfer & Pay in the navigation bar, then choose Add Funds > Hong Kong (SAR).

For Domestic Wire transfers made between U.S. banks, delivery generally takes 1-3 business days.

For International wire transfers delivery generally takes 5 – 7 business days, although it does vary depending on the country and the sending bank’s processing requirements. Additionally, the funds may go through one or more intermediary banks before arriving at East West Bank.

If there is a delay in receiving your funds, you should first check with your sending bank for details about their wire delivery process.
