East West Bank was proud to serve as a lead sponsor for longtime partner United Way of Greater Los Angeles at the 17th Annual WalkUnitedLA 5K Run/Walk hosted by the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, July 20th, at Rose Bowl Stadium.
This year’s 5K run/walk took on special meaning as a company headquartered in Pasadena. Led by our Chairman and CEO, Dominic Ng, Team East West Bank had a record turnout of over 560 participants and raised over $40,000 together to support United Way’s mission and recovery efforts from the devastating Eaton and Palisades wildfires. Proceeds will also fund United Way’s vital programs that create equitable pathways to success for low-income students, families, and communities across Los Angeles.
Team East West Bank ranked 1st place in overall team fundraising and participation efforts. Our top fundraisers scored an exclusive photo-op with LA Rams quarterback and event co-chair Matthew Stafford! Additionally, the bank stepped up with a generous matching donation of $100,000, further demonstrating our spirit of unity and ongoing commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities.
