Do I have to receive income within the U.S. to be eligible?

Not necessarily. We have various methods to verify your qualifications for the loan.

Does the Bank's loan program accept broker loans?

No. If you would like to apply for a mortgage loan or home equity line of credit please contact an MLO directly.

What is a Hybrid Adjustable Rate Mortgage loan?

In a hybrid adjustable rate mortgage, interest rates are fixed during the introductory period. Once this period expires, the loan converts to an adjustable rate mortgage. You should inquire with an MLO for current rates.

How can I draw funds from my HELOC account?

You can select one of the following options to access your available funds in your HELOC account: pre-printed checks, online banking*, or contact Loan Servicing for manual advance.


*Must have an East West Bank deposit account and sign up for EWB online banking.

What documents do I need to submit with my loan application?
Do I have to be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident to be eligible for a mortgage loan?

Not necessarily. We have various loan programs and some do not require citizenship.

How do I acquire current mortgage rate information?

Contact an East West Bank Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) in your neighborhood for assistance. (Find a Branch)

What is an Adjustable Rate Mortgage loan?

In an adjustable rate mortgage, interest rates are tied to a market index. Your interest rate and associated payments will change as the market index increases or decreases. You should inquire with an MLO for current rates.

Can I make additional payments on my Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) or my mortgage loans?

Yes. None of our mortgage loans include a pre-payment penalty.
