In continuation of our annual partnership with Lakers Youth Foundation, the bank recently concluded two events from the Season of Giving series dedicated to serving our local community with the 2023 Turkey Giveaway and the Thanksgiving Feast.
To commence the season of giving partnership, over 300 families lined up at the Salvation Army LA Red Shield Community Center for the Turkey Giveaway! Underserved community members had the opportunity to receive everything they needed for a Thanksgiving Meal. Our bank volunteers joined forces alongside Lakers Legends Lamar Odom, A.C. Green, Robert Horry, and the Laker Girls to pass out turkeys, and all the fixings ensuring those in need have an opportunity to enjoy a warm meal on Thanksgiving.
Following the Turkey Giveaway, we served a Thanksgiving Feast at the Santa Monica Pier, bringing together nearly 200 guests from our community partners the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Frank Hotchkin Memorial Training Center, Heart of LA, Mixed Roots, Boys & Girls Club of San Gabriel Valley, and Watts Skills Academy to enjoy fun carnival games and rides. Our dedicated team of volunteers, worked with Lakers Legends Robert Horry, Derek Fisher, current Laker Max Christie, and the Lakers Girls, to serve a delectable feast from Lucille’s BBQ Smokehouse for a delicious Thanksgiving meal.
