USC Pacific Asia Museum

Established in 1971, the USC Pacific Asia Museum is one of few U.S. institutions dedicated to the arts and culture of Asia and the Pacific Islands, serving the city of Los Angeles and the Greater Southern California region. By creating inspiring encounters with the arts and culture of Asia and the Pacific Islands, the museum fosters and promotes intercultural understanding in the service of elevating our shared sense of humanity.

In 2026, East West Bank made the largest single gift in the museum’s history. The landmark investment will enhance and grow their exhibitions program and historic Pasadena campus, a gateway between USC, Southern California, and the global arts community.

East West Bank Exhibition Hall, Galleries and Courtyard

As part of our gift, East West Bank will serve as lead sponsor of all USC Pacific Asia Museum exhibitions for the next two decades. The museum will also provide free admission during the week of Lunar New Year and Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, as well as on opening and closing weekends of exhibitions in the newly named East West Bank Exhibition Hall.

Combined with the new East West Bank Courtyard—a lush, green space for outdoor events and gatherings—these dynamic spaces will foster art and science, research and imagination, and create opportunities to bring cultures together.
