The Broad

Founded by Eli and Edythe Broad, the Broad makes its collection of contemporary art from the 1950s to the present accessible to the widest possible audience. Welcoming 900,000 visitors per year, The Broad is a bustling public space, and serves as home to the Broad collection, one of the world’s leading collections of postwar and contemporary art, which continues to grow as new artists and artworks are added. Through exhibitions and diverse public programming, the museum enriches, provokes, inspires, and fosters appreciation of the art of our time. The Broad entered its 55,000 square-foot expansion plan, set to open in 2028. The new building will expand gallery space by 70%, dramatically increase the number of works on display and offer dynamic new visitor experiences.

East West Bank has been The Broad’s Leading Partner since 2017, helping to expand the museum’s art education, family offerings, and performance programming designed to serve and engage a wider audience.
