Part of Kang's ongoing Synapse series, these analogue luminograms are created by projecting light through nylon produce bags onto photographic paper, producing camera-less images. Colored filters introduced during exposure make each work unique. Vivid fields of amber, orange, crimson, red, and pink interact with woven textures and translucent forms that evoke neural networks, organic structures, and shifting patterns of light. Through the transformation of everyday materials into luminous abstractions, Kang explores materiality, perception, and continual transformation.
