Kitty Chen
Senior Managing Director
Head of Consumer & Business Banking
Kitty Ma Chen is the Senior Managing Director, Head of Retail and Business Banking at East West Bank. She oversees all U.S. retail branches (92), as well as the SBA, Mortgage, Credit Card, and Business Banking teams. She joined East West Bank in 1995 and brings more than 40 years of banking experience and expertise, particularly in retail banking management and commercial lending. Kitty was named a 2025 Banking and Finance Visionary by the Los Angeles Times and received the 2024 Executive of the Year award from the Los Angeles Business Journal.
Her professional accomplishments are a direct result of her hands-on, team-driven nature and, as an entrepreneur herself, her keen sense of smart business practices—a unique combination that is further enhanced by the passion she continues to bring to her work every day. She currently serves as the treasurer and board member of the Hong Kong Association of Southern California.
