Eat Breakfast, then Change the World

Some say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We believe it! Recently, southern California regional manager Renee Chang and her team collectively pooled their own money to purchase and serve breakfast to our friends in need at the Friends In Deed (FID) food pantry.

Friends in Deed is an interfaith nonprofit that provides supportive services to meet basic human needs, so our homeless and at-risk neighbors can rebuild their lives. The organization’s pantry provides food assistance to low-income and no-income families in the greater Pasadena/Altadena area and is set up like a neighborhood market where community members come in to select their own groceries.

With the food cost rising, FID’s pantry helps families set aside more money for rent or other necessities. Every week, over 325 households benefit from amazing programs like this, and we are delighted our associates got to play a part.
