Power of Giving - Building a Brighter Future for Our Community
PUBLISHED NOVEMBER 23, 2015
Our CEO & Chairman Dominic Ng and Team East West Bank led the way to build a brighter future for our community at this year’s 2015 United Way HomeWalk 5k Walk/Run held on Saturday, November 21st at the Exposition Park, Los Angeles. This year marks our 9th Annual United Way HomeWalk partnership with United Way of Greater Los Angeles and it was celebrated on a beautiful Saturday morning with nearly 12,000 participants.
The endless competitive spirit, collaborative team work and leadership, exciting fundraiser activities and generous support from our associates resulted in another record breaking year for Team East West Bank with 291 registered participants and $42,172 fundraised. This remarkable result will contribute to housing the veterans who are experiencing homelessness, where 1 in 5 live in Los Angeles County.
This was the most successful HomeWalk in history! United Way of Greater Los Angeles raised over $1.1 million from this event and with our team’s contributions, every single dollar raised will go towards housing friends, families and veterans in need. United Way is one step closer to ending homelessness for good in L.A. County!
