East West Bank Volunteers Spend Afternoon with Seniors
PUBLISHED NOVEMBER 5, 2013
East West Bank associates in Northern California recently spent an afternoon volunteering their time at On Lok Lifeways Senior Center in San Francisco, providing much-needed companionship and opportunities for the center’s senior participants to socialize and engage with visitors.
Organized by the bank's CRA/Community Development team in partnership with the United Way of the Bay Area, as part of their annual "Week of Caring" program, the community event was a great success as bank associates engaged the seniors in fun craft activities and allowed them to share their unique and varied stories. It was a rewarding and fulfilling way to give back to the community, with associates and participants alike equally touched by the time spent together.
