Bay Area Associates Cultivate Money-Savvy Students
PUBLISHED MAY 7, 2019
Developing money-saavy adults is not an overnight task! That’s why it needs to start at a young age. In partnership with Junior Achievement of Northern California, our Bay Area associates recently taught financial literacy courses to students in grades as young as kindergarten. Our volunteers taught over 150 K-3rd grade students in Oakland’s Allendale School and over 50 K-1st grade students at San Francisco’s Jean Parker Elementary.
Through compelling stories and hands-on activities, our volunteer teachers introduced students to topics such as earning, saving, entrepreneurship, and many financial concepts coupled with social studies learning objectives. We are delighted to play our part in preparing students for a brighter financial future.
