“Walk for Rice” Walkathon – Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS)

In 2012, over 20 associates and family members from East West Bank’s Northwest region participated in the 22nd Annual “Walk for Rice” event in Seattle’s Seward Park to raise and donate funds for Asian Counseling and Referral Service’s (ACRS) Food Bank drive. The East West Bank team mobilized to raise over $1,000 for the campaign.
ACRS’ Food Bank is one of the most visited food banks in Washington’s King County, distributing more than 126,000 pounds of food per month, and is the only food bank in the state that regularly distributes foods that meet Asian Pacific ethnic dietary needs. ACRS is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization offering a broad array of human services and behavioral health programs to Asian Pacific Americans in King County. ACRS is the largest multiservice organization serving all the different Asian Pacific American communities - immigrants, refugees and American-born - in the Pacific Northwest.
