The bank recently held a public safety and community engagement event at the bank’s regional office in Houston to honor Houston’s first responders by contributing $10,000 to the Houston Police Foundation (HPF). The purpose of the event is to acknowledge the indispensable work of and partnership with the Houston Police Department, especially throughout the pandemic.

The contribution was presented to HPF Executive Director Charlene Floyd, Houston Police Chief Troy Finner and Houston Assistant Police Chief Ban Tien. Other key local officials and representatives from community organizations attended the event, which featured remarks from Christopher Olson, Director of Trade and International Affairs for the City of Houston; Police Chief Finner; and Mike Burr, Senior Managing Director & Head of Texas Market at East West Bank.

We look forward to continuing to support our public safety and community partners as we work through pandemic recovery together.

The Houston Police Foundation depends on donations to fulfill the mission of keeping Houston and the Officers of Houston Police Department safe and prepared. To learn more about the foundation: https://www.houstonpolicefoundation.org/about.
