What a fun day of education and volunteering! Our associates recently spent a day building, assembling, and learning about San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity’s ReStores.

ReStores helps local families achieve their dreams of homeownership by creating a place for the public to find great deals on furniture, appliances, home decor, and building materials. Through this unique social enterprise model, Habit for Humanity is building a better community for us and our neighbors through the power of a decent, affordable place to call home.

During our volunteer day at the ReStore thrift store, our associates learned about the various building materials available at the stores, help set prices for inventory, repaired tools, designed a galley kitchen under a budget, and set up a store vignettes to make furniture stand out. All volunteer activities help turn the merchandise into money that funds Habitat’s home building mission.
