Guiding Dallas Students on their Career Journey
PUBLISHED APRIL 23, 2021
Junior Achievement of Dallas, Inc. recently invited East West Bank back again to host our very own Banking Expo. The Banking Expo is a way to bring together students and our banking professionals to share their experiences together. Junior Achievement (JA) is a nationwide organization that is dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success. This nonprofit provides a positive impact to over 3 million students per year in 105 local areas.
At the Banking Expo, we had five volunteer panelists share their personal and professional journey in the banking field with over 200 Dallas JA students. The students were able to ask the panelists career related questions and explore the banking industry. Volunteers provided advice to give JA students some guidance on their possible future banking career journey.
A special thank you to our panelists: Richard Spicer, FVP-Senior FX Advisor, FX Risk Management; James Han, VP-Area Manager, Richardson; Sook Lee, AVP-Branch Manager, Harry Hines; Kerensa Hernandez, AVP-Assistant BSA Manager, Anti-Money Launder Group; and Dustin Martin, VP-Portfolio Manager, Commercial Lending Dallas. We are honored to be able to connect with these students and have the ability to enhance their knowledge of the banking industry.
