Recently, our Northwest Region team supported the Asian Counseling and Referral Services (ACRS) 7th Annual Walk for Rice, a long-standing and beloved community tradition aimed to raise money to fight hunger in the community. Over a thousand people gather at Seward Park to take part in the Walk for Rice to support the local Chinatown-International District food bank.

This year, over 30 Team East West Bank members and their family participated in the walk and also sponsored the refreshments booth. This family and pet friendly event featured lion dancing, a martial arts demonstration, Japanese Taiko drumming and a performance by the Seattle Chinese Girls Drill Team, before a 2.5 mile walk/run around Seward Park.

Collectively, the community raised over $255,500 to support the ACRS Food Bank and nutrition programs. Many thanks to our Northwest team who participated in this meaningful event to fight hunger in the community!
