A Season of Giving - East West Bank hosted Thanksgiving with Lakers, LA Fire Department
PUBLISHED NOVEMBER 21, 2016
Thanksgiving is a special time to give thanks for all the blessings of the year! As part of the bank’s annual “A Season of Giving” partnership with the Los Angeles Lakers, the bank recently hosted two special Thanksgiving events collaborating with the Lakers and our local community groups.
Thanksgiving Feast at Hotchkin Memorial Training Center – Thursday, 11/17
The bank hosted its annual Thanksgiving Feast at the Hotchkin Memorial Training Center in Elysian Park alongside the Los Angeles Fire Department, Los Angeles Lakers, and local community non-profit groups such as the YMCA of West San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles Urban League, Asian Youth Center, Mixed Roots, Cathedral of our Lady of the Angels, Boy & Girls Club of Pasadena and East Los Angeles.
Nearly 500 children and families joined in the event and enjoyed a complete thanksgiving dinner donated by Lucille’s Smokehouse BBQ. Our guests had a memorable time engaging in fun activities and meeting NBA Lakers players Brandon Ingram and Thomas Robinson, and the Lakers Girls.
Our associates Agnes Lew, Medini De Silva, Peggy O’Donavan, Edwin Wong, Vanna Vuong, Elvira Valenzuela, Steve Trang, Nick Nawaz, and Steve Ho generously volunteered their time to support this meaningful and rewarding event.
“It’s a great feeling to do good for the community; the activities are good reminders of how proud we are to be part of East West. It is also great to see our associates connected on a more personal level.” From Agnes Lew, SVP, Director of Wealth Management
