For the fourth consecutive year, East West Bank associates from the southeast region bonded with their colleagues while walking/running a 5K. The Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk, popularly known as the “world’s largest office party,” took place on September 11, 2014, in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia. It was an evening of live music, an outdoor picnic, and a celebration of being healthy. Lori Cantey, the AVP Branch Operations Support Officer at the Asian Banking Center in Atlanta and also one of the twelve participants, recounted the event, “I have been a runner my whole life. I love the outdoors and [I] feel that health and fitness are important. The weather was beautiful, and the attendees had a good time running/walking and spending the evening with their co-workers.”

Although coined as a “party”, the event was actually a fitness program designed to promote health, wellness, and fitness among corporations and organizations in Atlanta. Prior to the event, participants received organized training programs such as boot camp, running/walking training schedules, fit tips, personal health assessment tools, and healthy recipes. A portion of the event proceeds benefited the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Back on My Feet and the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
